DRIVERS are as much distracted by "old technology" as by new gadgets, according to a survey. Adult passengers, twiddling with the radio and children in the car were the main distractions causing either a near-miss or an accident, the poll of more than 18,000 motorists found. These three distractions came ahead of operating the sat-nav and talking on a mobile phone as the biggest reasons for lack of driver attention.
The tease for something new from Pagani isn’t a Huayra Roadster, it’s a new set of speakers from Italian Sonus Faber. Although the Pagani Huayra is still only on the road in single numbers – two years on from when it arrived – we did think a tease from Pagaini for ‘Something New’ at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show may be the arrival of a Huayra Roadster. Due to be shown officially in July, before a full presentation at Frankfurt in September, the new Jaguar XJ is designed to take the fight to BMW, Audi and Mercedes. And if how it looks is anything to go by Jaguar will have another big success on its hands, to go along with the XF. Although based on the existing XJ’s lightweight chassis (nothing wrong with that) but with a back end which is very much derived from the XF, the car is totally re-skinned, and looks finally how a modern Jaguar luxury saloon should.
